That being said, this release is what I have come to expect from VirtualBox: Take a lesson and do NOT repeat that stupidity ever again. You trying to tear a page from the Microsoft manual a la Vista, because it's quite obvious that the quality of code of your 2.1 release matched that misbegotten piece of excrement in spades (and as shown by Windows 7, could have been entirely avoided by taking a wee bit more time to test and so ensure customer satisfaction). Why did you idiots not simply take the extra month and release THIS as 2.1 instead of subjecting us to the ALPHA garbage that you released masquerading as a final? Nag screens and broken code? What has this previously awesome application turned in to? I'm rating it a 2 but at this point I'm feeling that's a bit generous. I can hardly believe how bad it's gotten. I have to go in and manually kill processes via CTRL-ALT-DEL before it will start again. Unlike earlier versions, when this thing crashes (2.2.0 and 2.2.2), I can't just close the app and restart it. Try to access the local LAN - bam - it locks up. Try to access a USB device - bam - it locks up. 2.2.0 and now 2.2.2 - heck even the original 2.2 betas were full of such problems.

I can hardly find the words to express my disappointment in these 2.2.x versions. As I have never really ran anything but xp or 7, It's kinda iffy. I'd love to host a stripped-down xp vm from linux, but usb would have to work flawlessly and I only have 2gigs of ram. By the time this matures I might even have the hardware to run it well hopefully. If not, you have to run something very lightweight. VMI's are great if you have a rockin cpu and tons of ram.
